Equestrian Training from Tidmarsh Stud and Fiona HarterFiona Harter is a Group 2 British Dressage Rider and has been a listed Dressage Judge for 18 years. Fiona established Tidmarsh Stud in 1988 and initially she ran the business as a licenced Quarantine yard as well as a Livery Yard providing stabling for horses travelling internationally and worked with many clients importing and exporting around Europe and the USA . She also ran a business from the yard buying and producing horses for sale. Importing from Ireland, Germany, France and Holland. Two of the most successful being Matt Ryans Bonza Katoomba (8th at Badminton 2007) and Kyrenajenelas Boy who won Team Gold for two consecutive years on the Young Riders GB Team and went on to successfully complete the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Fiona was originally trained by John Lasseter at Goodwood. Since 1989 she has been trained by Jane Gregory and with lots of help from Jane has enjoyed success with many different horses, training them to Advanced over the years. Most notably a very special horse called Balans (The Great White) with whom she had wins at Prix St Georges and Intermediare 1. Fiona has been teaching all levels and ages of riders for over 25 years and her style of teaching is friendly and unassuming. She particularly enjoys helping people with disabilities and has trained people for BHS exams up to Stage 4. Clients have had success from Prelim to Prix St Georges and every level in between. The emphasis being on enjoyment and empathy with the horses. Judging is another passion of hers and in particular Horse Trials. Although it made her feel rather old Fiona was delighted to receive her long service award from Tweseldown Horse Trials for having judged every year there for the last 17 years! She now manages Tidmash Stud as a family run Livery yard where she lives with three teenage children, her partner and far too many Dogs!
